ELASTOSIL® E47 310ml

ELASTOSIL® E47 is a one-component RTV-1 silicone that cures under the influence of atmospheric moisture, designed for professional bonding and sealing applications in industry and technical assembly. The material cures at room temperature, forming a durable, flexible, and transparent joint resistant to aging and typical service loads. Thanks to its thixotropic, non-slump consistency, E47 allows precise application even on vertical surfaces and in areas where control of joint thickness is required.

The silicone is distinguished by exceptionally good adhesion to cured silicone elastomers, making it particularly valued in applications where standard silicones do not provide sufficient adhesion. The product meets the requirements of the MIL-A-46106 standard, confirming its suitability for technical and industrial applications with increased quality requirements.

Technical properties:
ELASTOSIL® E47 is a ready-to-use material that requires no mixing or preparation prior to application. In its uncured state, it is a soft, thixotropic paste with high extrusion efficiency, facilitating both manual and semi-automatic application. A short skin-formation time allows for quick progression to subsequent assembly steps.

After curing, the silicone forms a flexible silicone rubber with medium hardness, very good mechanical strength, and high elongation at break, enabling it to compensate for vibrations, stresses, and movements of the bonded components. The material maintains stable properties over time, does not become brittle, and does not lose elasticity.

An additional advantage is the possibility of accelerating the vulcanization process by increasing the temperature (up to approx. 80 °C), which can be important in serial production or when shortening assembly cycles.

ELASTOSIL® E47 is a versatile bonding and sealing silicone intended for a wide range of industrial applications. It performs particularly well in:

Thanks to its good adhesion to many substrates, E47 can often be used without a primer; however, preliminary testing is recommended for demanding applications to ensure optimal process parameters.
