SILRES® H62 C is a one-component, solvent-free, thermally cured silicone resin designed for winding impregnation, electrical insulation, and high-temperature applications. Thanks to its very good flowability, excellent dielectric properties, and outstanding thermal resistance (RTI 239 °C), the material is ideally suited for traction motors, generators, electric drives, and heating elements. After curing, it forms a hard, hydrophobic structure resistant to moisture, UV radiation, and long-term thermal loads.

Description

SILRES H62C is a high-grade, one-component, solvent-free, thermally cured silicone resin designed for advanced insulation and impregnation applications in electrical engineering and the drive industry. The material has been developed for operation under extreme temperature conditions, where standard organic systems lose their performance.

Thanks to its very good flowability and deep penetration capability, SILRES H62C is ideally suited for winding impregnation using dip processes as well as VPI (Vacuum Pressure Impregnation). It effectively penetrates gaps between conductors and structural components, forming a homogeneous insulation system that stabilizes windings, improves heat dissipation, and increases the mechanical strength of the entire assembly.

After curing, the resin forms a hard, thermally stable, and hydrophobic structure resistant to moisture, oils, chemicals, and aging processes. The material features excellent dielectric properties and high electrical strength, making it suitable for long-term operation in electrical equipment exposed to high voltages and elevated temperatures.

One of the key advantages of SILRES® H62 C is its exceptionally high thermal resistance, confirmed by an RTI rating of up to 239 °C. This allows its use in electrical machines operating in temperature classes far exceeding the capabilities of conventional electrical insulating varnishes. The solvent-free formulation also supports modern, more sustainable manufacturing processes.
