WACKER® AK 0.65 – professional ultra-low viscosity silicone oil for demanding industrial applications
WACKER® AK 0.65 is a linear silicone fluid (hexamethyldisiloxane) with a very low kinematic viscosity of approx. 0.65 mm²/s (25°C), belonging to the range of high-quality technical silicone fluids manufactured by Wacker Chemie AG. Thanks to its chemical structure, it significantly outperforms traditional organic materials (e.g., mineral oils) in terms of parameter stability, temperature resistance, and surface properties.
It is designed for a wide spectrum of industrial applications — from release and lubricating agents to components in chemical formulations and carriers in specialized technological processes.
Key Properties
Very low viscosity
Facilitates penetration, uniform spreading, and rapid evaporation in applications requiring a thin film.
Stability over a wide temperature range
Minimal changes in physical properties as a function of temperature ensure process predictability and repeatability of final results.
Excellent hydrophobic properties
Strong resistance to water and moisture — ideal for applications requiring protection against humidity.
Low surface tension
Very good surface activity enables effective substrate wetting and improved flow characteristics.
High chemical resistance
The product is chemically low-reactive, increasing its stability in formulations and industrial processes.
Good dielectric properties
Suitable for use in electrical engineering applications as an insulating medium.
High thermal resistance and low pour point
Allows operation in both elevated and reduced temperature conditions.
