WACKER AK100 30kg – Silicone Oil for Lubrication, Protection and Industrial Applications, Viscosity 100 mm²/s

WACKER AK100 is a professional, linear, non-reactive silicone fluid (polydimethylsiloxane) with a viscosity of approximately 100 mm²/s which, thanks to its unique chemical structure, significantly outperforms traditional mineral oils. It is a colorless, odorless and completely transparent liquid with an exceptionally favorable property profile, intended for technical, care and industrial applications.

The product is characterized by minimal change in physical properties over a very wide temperature range, excellent hydrophobic properties, good dielectric properties, low surface tension (approx. 0.021 N/m) and high surface activity. It is chemically highly unreactive, has a low pour point, a high flash point (253 °C) and very good thermal resistance. Density at 25 °C is approximately 0.96 g/cm³ and the refractive index is approx. 1.403. WACKER AK 100 is readily soluble in aliphatic and aromatic hydrocarbons, chlorinated hydrocarbons, ethers, esters, ketones and higher alcohols, but is immiscible with water or short-chain alcohols.

WACKER AK100 is widely used as a care agent for Ceran® glass-ceramic cooktops and for the care and protection of metals. It performs excellently as an effective release agent, high-quality lubricant, hydraulic fluid, antifoam agent, hydrophobic impregnating agent, dielectric fluid for electrical and electronic equipment, heat-transfer oil, additive for polishing pastes and care products, plastics additive, and a component of textile and fiber auxiliaries. Availability in various viscosities of the AK series allows the product to be easily adapted to individual needs by blending with other WACKER silicone fluids.

WACKER AK 100 silicone oil 100 cSt is a reliable solution for professionals and demanding applications where stability, hydrophobicity, thermal resistance and versatility matter. The product should be stored at temperatures up to 50 °C. Laboratory tests are recommended before first use with solvents.
